Welcome to Cattells Mill

Built in 1828, the windmill is an eight sided smock mill situated in the village of Willingham, Cambridgeshire , England. Windmills were once the focal point in every community providing employment and producing flour, notwithstanding the visual aesthetic they exude. Throughout the 20 th Century windmills became disused and were replaced by more efficient ways of flour production. By the Second World War most windmills were decommissioned and demolished for scrap material. Cattells Windmill is now in the process of being restored and we are hopeful to produce flour one day.
